Carole Tarlington is a legend in Vancouver’s film and television industry.

For over twenty years, she has trained, nurtured and discovered actors who have appeared in film and television in Canada, the U.S. and around the world, including Kristin Kreuk (“Smallville”), Brendan Fletcher (“Tideland”), Cole Heppell (“The Fog”), Jesse Moss and Amanda Crew (“Whistler”), Joely Collins (“Cold Squad”), Ryan Reynolds (“Van Wilder”), Sarah Chalke (“Scrubs”), Emily Hirst (“Blade”) and Jessica Amlee (youngest Leo Award winner ever for “Love Crimes Of Gillian Guess”).

Sought by film and television directors, producers and Casting Directors, Carole has been involved in many aspects of the business (teacher, Casting Director, Talent Agent) and has received numerous awards for her contribution to the industry, including the 2008 Woman Of The Year award from Women In Film & Television Vancouver as part of their annual "Spotlight" awards ceremony.

Each term, Carole Tarlington (former Talent Agent and Casting Director) offers a free parent workshop on “the business of acting”. Some of the topics include:

  • how to get an agent
  • an agent's responsibilities
  • parents' and actor's responsibilities
  • the casting process - how it works
  • This is also the time when parents can ask their questions and get expert advice from a veteran of the Vancouver entertainment industry. These workshops are a unique feature of the training at Tarlington and not to be missed.

    PLEASE NOTE: The date of your workshop will be announced on the first day of your child’s program term.

  • Full payment is due upon registration. We accept VISA and MasterCard payments by phone or in person. Interac payments are only available in person. If paying by cheque, money order or cash, you will have five business days to deliver payment to hold your place in the desired program.
  • If a program is cancelled by Tarlington Training Inc., you will receive a full refund.
  • There are no refunds after the first session (unless cancelled by Tarlington Training Inc.).
  • If you need to cancel your registration and it is more than five business days before the beginning of your program, your fee will be reimbursed, less a $100.00 administrative fee. There are no refunds if cancelling within five business days.
  • We are unable to make up missed sessions, though we endeavour to provide you with assignments when possible.
  • Enrollment is limited. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis and workshop sizes are kept small to ensure individual attention.
  • Actors in all workshops receive written evaluation from the instructors.
  • There is a $25.00 administrative charge for all NSF cheques.
  • Private coaching is by appointment only. We require 24 hours notice of cancellation.
  • Tarlington Training Inc. is closed on all public holidays.
