THE 2008-2009 PROFESSIONAL SHOWCASE PROGRAM

AGES 9-17

This challenging and rewarding program runs from October through the end of May and culminates in our annual "Showcase Of Talent" at the Vancouver East Cultural Centre, the biggest industry show for young actors in Canada.

Each term brings new challenges as actors develop their on-camera and auditioning skills, character and scene study, on-set etiquette, blocking and movement, taking direction, accessing emotion and much, much more.

This is a rich, creative experience for the young actor devoted to pursuing a career in film and television.

INCLUDES:

  • Scene work recorded onto DVD for personal review
  • Participate in mock auditions throughout the year to "stay prepared"
  • Parent/Instructor interviews in Term 1 and Term 2, including written evaluation
  • Perform in a scene with fellow actors that is edited and presented at the end of Term 2
  • Scene work made available online for Talent Agents & Casting Directors at the end of Term 1 and Term 2
  • Rehearse and perform in the annual "Showcase Of Talent" at the end of May

    Congratulations to the actors who successfuly auditioned for this year's Professional Showcase Program. We had close to one hundred young actors vying for a place in this year's roster.

    This is our fourteenth year of offering this challenging and rewarding film & television acting program. Make sure you tell your agent you got in!

    The 2008-2009 JUNIOR MASTER PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM

    AGES 9-14

    For young working professionals with established resumes in the film and television industry who are committed to their ongoing training and have shown an aptitude for more challenging scene work.

    Discuss this program with your agents before auditioning.

    The 2008-2009 SENIOR MASTER PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM

    AGES 15-21

    Tarlington Training's most advanced program, for young working professionals who will soon transition from playing youth and teen characters to adult.

    Scene work, character study, vocal and speech, heightened language, blocking and movement for film, television and stage; all are covered in this three term program.
