Reece is a Tarlington Training veteran and has completed many of our programs over the years.
Last year, he received great notices for his role in “Rocket Science” (the Seattle Post-Intelligencer says “With the grace of a young Edward Norton, Thompson is a real find.”). Newsweek magazine picked it as one of the top ten movies of 2007.
Next up, a starring role in “Assassination Of A High School President” with Bruce Willis and Mischa Barton. The film had it’s premiere at Sundance and should be in theatres before the end of Summer.
Genevieve completed the Tarlington Training Senior Master Professional program in May and continues to be one of the busiest young actors in Western Canada.
Genevieve recently booked a large role on "Caprica", the prequel to the acclaimed "Battlestar Galactica" series. Her character's name is Tamara Adams and the director/producer is Jeffrey Reiner ("Friday Night Lights").
Upcoming credits include "Jennifer's Body" and "Vipers".
Last Summer, Katie Findlay trained with Carole Tarlington during her annual Summer workshop for teens and was a big hit with the agents who came out for her presentation performance.
Katie signed with Pacific Artists, was out for auditions almost immediately and booked the series lead in the CBC pilot "Easton Meets West".
It can happen, folks! What are you doing this Summer?
"Air Buddies", "Snow Buddies" and "Space Buddies" are three of Gig's credits and his resume rivals that of actors twice his age.
This year, you'll see Gig in the hot new horror series, "Fear Itself".
In May, Gig completed the Junior Master Professional Program.
Nicole is another of the young pro's who trains with Tarlington Training.
She's had one busy year, with roles in the series "Fear Itself" and "The Guard", plus a role in the feature film "Jennifer's Body" (from the Oscar winning screenwriter, Diablo Cody). And, yes, that is Nicole you've seen recurring on "Kyle XY".
Cole has trained at Tarlington since he was very young. Now he's a teenager, a recent member of the Junior Master Professional Program, he spent most of last year on stage at Stratford in "To Kill A Mockingbird" and recently completed filming an episode of "Fear Itself".
Cole's other credits include "Bloodrayne" and the remake of "The Fog".
Cole is one talented young man and totally committed to his craft. He is a real inspiration to the other young actors he works with.
This Spring, Megan completed the Advanced Very Young Performers program at Tarlington. The program is designed for young actors, age 6-8 who have some on-set experience and can handle more challenging on-camera work. Megan was a natural addition to the program.
Her credits already include "Painkiller Jane", and the upcoming "Jennifer's Body" and "Hurricane Hunter".
Quinn is another very busy young actor who trains at Tarlington. He has the lead role in the feature film "Trick 'r Treat". He tries on a British accent for Terry Gilliam's "The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus". Quinn plays Pete in the DVD movie "Space Buddies" and even plays the lead voice of Jason T. Conrad for 20 episodes (two seasons) of "3-2-1 Penguins!".
Quinn was also nominated for a 2008 Young Actors Award for his guest starring role on "Smallville".
Good job, Quinn!
"Little Mosque On The Prairie" is the biggest Canadian hit series since "Corner Gas" and look who's a regular: Aliza Vellani, another Tarlington-trained actor, joined the series in its first season. She plays Layla Siddiqui, a young woman at the centre of two cultures who is finding her own voice.
And acting talent runs in the family; Aliza's younger sister, Sabrina, is also training at Tarlington.
