INTRODUCTION TO ACTING FOR FILM & TELEVISION

Curious about acting for film and television?

This is an acting training program for newcomers, designed to teach the fundamentals of the audition process and the basics of how to prepare and perform a scene.

Actors perform in an "end of term presentation" for family, friends and talent agents.

  • Actors will work on the audition process for principal roles and commercials
  • On-camera work is recorded to DVD for personal review
  • Actors receive a written evaluation from their Instructors
  • Toward the end of term, parents are invited to a private meeting with Instructors to discuss your actor's progress
  • End Of Term Presentation performances are made available online to Talent Agents, Casting Directors, parents and actors to view

VERY YOUNG PERFORMERS

Learn the basics of acting and auditioning for film and television. Our Instructors emphasize focus, taking direction and imagination all in a creative and fun environment. Actors perform in a presentation on the final day for parents, family and invited Talent Agents.

JUNIOR SUMMER INTENSIVE

This two week program is for young actors who are committed to developing the skills needed to perform on film and television and how to prepare for and have a successful audition. You will participate in mock auditions, receive a written evaluation from your Instructors as part of a Parent/Instructor Interview, and perform in an End Of Term Presentation for family, friends and invited Talent Agents.

SENIOR SUMMER INTENSIVE

Each Summer, teen actors from across Canada spend two weeks immersed in acting training designed to improve performance and auditioning skill. Whether it's all new for you or you are an established performer dedicated to keeping up on your skills, this program is for you. You will participate in mock auditions, receive written evaluation from your Instructors, learn about the business of acting, perform in an End Of Term Presentation for family, friends and invited Talent Agents.

Coming this June, Tarlington Training is proud to present a unique four week program for young actors (age 9-17) who would like to refine their musical theatre skills. Develop your performance technique, learn how to prepare for auditions and navigate the waters of a competitive industry.
