WINTER 2009
An introduction to on-camera acting and auditioning for younger children looking for the experience necessary to get noticed by Talent Agents and Casting Directors
Learn the fundamentals of developing a character, understanding the scene you're performing and taking direction. Actors perform in an "end of term presentation" for family, friends and talent agents and receive a written evaluation during a Parent/Instructor Interview.

This is our most challenging program for this age group. Actors work on individual objectives on-camera through complex and emotional scene work. The course will continue to build confidence, self-awareness and empower young actors to reach their creative potential.
INCLUDES: Parent/Instructor Interview, written evaluation, scene work recorded to DVD for personal review, "End Of Term Presentation" for family, friends and Talent Agents, presentation performance made available online for agencies and Casting Directors
PREREQUISITE: completion of "Very Young Performers" or extensive professional on-camera acting experience. Agency recommendation must include resume. Actors will be expected to prepare scene work for the following week's session.

Introducing Tarlington Training's newest acting and auditioning program designed specifically for homeschooled actors aged 9-17.
Develop the basics of performing on camera, preparing and giving an audition, taking direction and more. Become a better communicator and more confident in front of others.
Your Instructor, Sarah Sawatsky, is a former child actor, a senior instructor at Tarlington Training. Sarah holds a BC Provincial Instructor Diploma. She has studied at both New York’s Circle In The Square Theatre School and the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Sydney, Australia.
Behind the camera, Sarah has directed two short films – “Just Like Everybody Else” for the Vancouver School Board and “Being Elizabeth” for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Vancouver. She also teaches acting in elementary and secondary school classrooms as an Artist-In-Residence for the Vancouver School Board.
